At Newmetrix, we are committed to making sure your data is protected and available. Here are some of the ways we are doing that.
Amazon hosts Newmetrix data in Amazon Web Service’s (AWS) data centers, which include state of the art security and redundancy measures including power supplies and backup generators. Detail on Amazon Web Services Security measures can be found here.
Access Controls govern who has the rights to access and use different information. A password is required to log into Newmetrix. Your unique password is encrypted using SSL when sent to our servers for validation and it is never stored on our side (a password hash is used instead). Newmetrix also supports single-sign-on (SSO) using SAML, which provides customers with flexibility in implementing their own security standards. Role-based user permissions in the Newmetrix application include multiple levels of authority from administrators to collaborators to standard users and can be managed by company, group or business unit, and by individual projects.
Newmetrix regularly engages independent third party security specialists to conduct a vulnerability scan.
Newmetrix takes precautions to ensure you are not impacted by unplanned outages. In the case of an outage, personnel will work as quickly to restore full access as soon as possible. Daily backups are made from the production database and data warehouse to the cloud and in Google Cloud for redundancy.
Our terms of use provide strict controls over your data. For example, “You will have exclusive ownership, control of, and access to, Your Data. The placement or presence of Your Data on data storage systems owned by us, or within our possession or control, is not intended to, and does not constitute, a transfer of title and ownership in Your Data.”
