Autodesk makes a strategic investment in Boston-based Newmetrix—a machine learning based startup that makes intelligent use of industrial photography and videos in the construction industry.

Autodesk announced this month that it has invested in Newmetrix and its machine-learning technology for the construction industry. The Boston-based tech company just completed its Series A funding for which Autodesk was a proud investor.

Newmetrix is Machine Learning for Construction Risk Reduction

Newmetrix’s tech uses machine learning to automate speech and image recognition, make photos and video searchable using system generated SmartTags, and to provide metrics on project delivery safety, productivity, and quality.
